5 Common Affiliate Marketing Channels

Most affiliates use the same practices to make sure that their audience is interested and responsive to buying their promoted products. However, not all affiliates promote their products in the same exact way. Here are 5 common marketing channels affiliates may leverage.

1. Bloggers
Bloggers usually rank higher on search engines organically which means they contribute to increasing seller’s conversion.

What bloggers do is they write comprehensive reviews of a product or service which gives them the power to strongly promote the brand, driving traffic to the seller’s site. The blogger will then be awarded for his or her significant contribution.

2. Influencers
Influencers such as people from Instagram or YouTube with a big number of followers hold the power to greatly affect the purchasing decisions of many people. Influencers are now super big as most companies or brands come to them for partnering.

These people already have a big following so it’s a lot easier for them to promote products or services. They will then get a share of the profits.

3. Email lists
“Does email marketing still work?” Of course, they still do. All you need to be able to send the right message at the right time.

Most affiliates have an email list they have grown over time that they use to promote sellers’ products by including hyperlinks and then getting a commission when someone purchases.

Others also run specific ad campaigns to collect emails and follow up with newsletters that allow them to promote.

4. Microsites
This is also common to most affiliates, building a microsite with a particular niche and call to action where they can promote sellers’ products. It may be ‘micro’ but if given enough attention and proper actions, microsites may give macro results.

5.  Large media websites
These websites aim to reach as many audiences as possible and are designed to create huge traffic. These websites advertise products to their large audience through the use of banners and contextual links. This approach contributes to higher exposure and increases conversion rates, garnering top-notch revenue for the seller and affiliate.
