Happy New Year everyone! How’s the start of 2020 so far?
Have you got your new Year’s Resolution set? Have you been able to set up your goal and how you can achieve them? If you haven’t already and are still overwhelmed with having to start a new year once more, then we got your back.
If you wish to know how to set and achieve goals in the new year, it’s essential to have a plan in place. These methods will give you the best shot at achieving your goals and dreams.
WRITE OUT IN DETAIL
Not everyone does this and maybe that’s the difference between people who are achieving and not. Writing your goals in as detailed as possible is crucial in making these goals into reality as this will help you activate your success mechanism. When you write everything down, your subconscious mind will recognize what to work on. It will identify which opportunities to home in on to help you achieve your goal.
SET A GOAL AND FOCUS ON THE PROCESS
The thing most people do is get upset when they don’t accomplish the goal and results don’t favor them. This is because they are too focused on the result and not the process. They may have forgotten that the process is what makes the outcome.
Instead of focusing on the outcome, concentrate on being the person that you have to become in order to achieve your goals.
EXTERNALIZE YOUR GOALS TO YOURSELF
It’s essential to speak about your goals positively and behave like the person you want to be to achieve them. If your brain constantly hears you being doubtful with your goals and desires, or flat out lying about them, it will know and start working against you.
Your brain is amazingly good at listening to your self-talk and your private thoughts. So, instead of feeding it with negativity, fill it with positivity and drive.
SHARE YOUR GOALS
Make sure that you don’t keep your goals to yourself. Share them with the people you trust and increase your accountability for achieving them.
The thing if you keep your goals to yourself is that you would feel less accountable and totally fine when you don’t achieve them knowing that no one knows about it except you.
Therefore, sharing your goals has an impact on you achieving your goals.
VISUALIZE YOUR GOALS DAILY
Create something tangible out of your goals. Maybe a vision board where you put pictures of you achieving your goals or maybe change your desktop wallpaper with something that reminds you of your goal and or creates a movie out of all pictures of your goals. Basically, just anything that reminds you of your goals that will allow you to visualize yourself achieving them.
By doing this, you instill in your subconscious mind that they are important.
AFFIRM YOUR GOALS
Be ambitious as you can be and claim that you already have or achieved the goals you set. Create an affirmation that you can repeat daily.
By constantly affirming and visualizing your goals, your brain will take notice and will turn it into an obsession.
