Do you simply rely on coffee to feed you with energy as you start your week?
Do you drag yourself to work or school wishing the weekend was not yet over?
If you said yes, then you need to inject some more motivation into your life.
The way you start your Monday will have a big impact on how your whole week is going to be. If you start your Monday unmotivated more like you will be unmotivated the whole week, feeling tired, unhappy, and become unproductive.
So, how are you going to increase your motivation to work on Mondays and for the rest of the week
Here are 6 tips for you!
Have a good night’s sleep
Working from Mondays to Fridays straight can really be tiring and so you deserve to have a good night’s sleep on the weekend to recharge your body. And though, date nights are scheduled on weekends, make sure that at least you get a good sleep on Sunday night to prepare for work the next day. This will give an immense difference especially when you wake up. You will be well-rested and feel excited to get moving on a Monday.
Wake up early
Make it a habit to wake up early to give yourself more time to prepare. Prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast, have a quick time to stretch and exercise, enjoy your bath and have ample time to prepare yourself to work.
You see, starting your day right is very important.
Set your mind right
Motivation is the driving force that stimulates people to take action and motivation is driven by your mindset.
Setting your mind that Mondays are great, that you’re going to have a great start to the week, and that everything is going to be great for you, is going to make a whole lot of difference in how you see your Mondays.
Bad days are uncontrollable but if you have set your mind right, they won’t affect you that much and instead, you take them as motivation.
Plan ahead
You must plan your schedule. Know what your Mondays are going to look like. So, when you start your day, seemingly you prepare yourself for what’s ahead of you.
Learn to prioritize your tasks so you finish the day smoothly.
Relax
Remember to relax. When you feel like you are starting to feel tired or bored or overwhelmed with what you are doing, take a moment to pause and relax. Take a quick walk if you like or drink your favorite tea. Just anything that will help you release the tension that you are feeling.
Understand the WHY
Ask yourself, ‘Why am I unmotivated to go to work/school?’ Then, assess, ‘Is it all because of you?’, ‘Is it because of others?’. Identify the problem.
When you have identified the problem, find a resolution for it. For example, if you are experiencing burnout, why not ask for a quick vacation leave? Or, maybe try a new hobby after work to keep away your stress?
Mondays always seem to be the hardest day of the week at work. But with these simple tips, surely, your Mondays and the rest of the week will become better.
