TikTok: Getting Started With Your Business Account

Setting up your TikTok account is very easy. Just follow the steps and you’re good to go. However, if you are setting up a business account, then they are a couple of things you can consider when getting started.

Review your brand
Make sure that your brand is well-represented in your TikTok account before you start posting content. Think about your brand guide because you want to make sure you stay consistent with your brand voice and your brand visual identity.Learn the basics
Again, TikTok is very easy to navigate. Just explore all the features and you’ll find yourself a pro in no time.

Here are some TikTok basics you should know;

  • Video size: The aspect ratio for TikTok is 9:16 which means your smartphone is the perfect device to use when creating content.
  • Video orientation: Always shoot vertical videos
  • Video length: From 15 seconds to 60 seconds, now you can create up until 3 minutes of video
  • Types of videos: There is no limit to what type of video content you can create on TikTok but the most common ones are dance clips and lip-syncing.

Now, that you’ve already reviewed your brand guide and have also learned some TikTok basics, now let’s walk you through creating your TikTok business account.

  • Download the TikTok app on the Apple Store or Google Play store.
  • Sign up using your phone number, email, Facebook, Twitter, or Google account
